1. How can an Occupational Therapist help my child ?

Occupational Therapists (OTs) can help children learn to become more independent and successful in their daily lives. Occupational Therapists are skilled at breaking down the tasks involved in each activity so a child can participate to their maximum ability.  

OTs can assist children to develop improved self-regulation, fine motor, gross motor, and self-care skills.

2. What is the referral process?

Referrals can be made directly by parents or clients and they are also accepted by a variety of professionals. Following a telephone intake interview, it will be determined if services offered are most appropriate for a given child. 

3. How long is each Occupational Therapy session ?

Each Occupational Therapy session will range in length depending on each infant and child. Typically a session will last 45 minutes – 1 hour. 

4. How long will my child need to have Occupational Therapy ?

This depends on the unique needs and goals of each infant or child. As each case will most certainly be different, assessments will be given upon first visit and a plan regarding estimated progress will be made at that time.

6. Is Occupational Therapy covered by insurance ?

It is recommended that you check your individual plans for details regarding coverage. You will receive an invoice for services which can be provided to your insurance plan for reimbursement. 

7. What methods of payment do you accept?

A cheque, e-money transfer or exact cash payment is due at the end of each visit.
